After Setsubun and the first day of horse month,
on February 8, snow spread all over Japan,
covering the entire country in white.
Also, Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi won
national support in the general election this year.
Hi, I'm Imazu, today's PIC.

In Japanese kanji, 11 [十一] eleven is becomes [土] earth, soil?
On February 11, 1889 (Meiji 22), the Japanese Constitution went into force.
The day Emperor Jimmu took the throne (January 1, 660 BC,
or February 11 in the Gregorian calendar) was a national festival prior to the war.
Today, it is known as Kigensetsu, a day to honor the nation's founding and encourage patriotism.
Chinese legends are a common basis for influence in Japan.
After the start of spring, it was normal in ancient China to return the zodiac symbol
that had protected the country from bad luck all over the previous year to the earth.
The eleventh (11 = eleven = earth), which is the day closest to the start of spring,
probably became a yearly celebration day in Japan as well. Is that accurate? LOL

Hatsuuma Day
Inari shrines across Japan celebrate Hatsuuma Day,
the first day of the horse year in February,
with festivals in hopes of prosperous harvests.
Since eating inari sushi on the first day of the horse year is believed to bring good fortune,
the National Inari Sushi Association has made February 11th,
which also happens to be National Foundation Day,a memorial day.
Isn't that interesting?
Will the results of the February 8th presidential election
make February 11th a day that represents a new Japan?
A long-awaited improvement in the transport system supporting the travel business
has been made with the removal of the temporary fuel tax, the reduction of the diesel tax,
the lowering of the food consumption tax, and a lowering in power prices.
We also expect that everyone's feelings will be a little happier
as a result of the expansion of various allowances for families with children
and that as spring approaches, more people will be traveling.
