Kyoto Music Expo 2025
Hi, I'm Obuchi from Risshisha.
There were more than 60 days of extreme heat in Kyoto this summer.
The temperature has suddenly cooled down during the past few days,
and you're slowly starting to feel the fall atmosphere,
while the days of just walking outside would get you wet with sweat.
Autumn, the time for art, food, and fall foliage
all of which are wonderful is coming soon.
I'd like to talk about an event that is happening today
at Umekoji Park, which is near our Shichijo Inn hotel.

The Kyoto Music Expo 2025 will take place in Umekoji Park.
Quruli, a rock band from Kyoto, is hosting this music event.
Many people may already be familiar with it because it has been held every year since 2007.
This year, it will take place over two days, on October 11 (Saturday) and October 12 (Sunday).
Held at Umekoji Park in the center of Kyoto City,
the Kyoto Music Expo (popularly known as Onpaku)
is an event focused around the concept of
"environment, culture, and music,"
which also promotes regional growth.
Every year, the festival creates a pile of compost in Umekoji Park and takes out the
"Resources Recycling Project," in addition to attracting many musicians
from Japan and overseas to present amazing music.
creating compost from leftovers and culinary waste from the food area.
As a result, the festival has become an essential event that lets visitors experience
the joy of fall and becomes an event for the spread
and interaction of diverse cultures.

We think that guests who have made reservations but haven't yet planned their day
will have a great time simply walking around, taking in the food and drink
and merchandise areas, and listening to the music from the stage.
Also, a few rooms are still available on the day of the event as well
as in the days coming up to and after it.
Please feel free to check out our hotel rooms if you plan on going to
Onpaku but are still looking for a place to stay.
See you next!
