Kyoto's fantasy space "Light Cycles"
Hello this is Chin.
This time, I wanted to share with you how excited I was after seeing
the illumination art installation "Light Cycles" in Kyoto.

"Light Cycles" is a seasonal illumination art event that takes place in Kyoto City.
You are taken to another world as soon as you enter the room.
As you walk and stand in different places, the colors and rhythm of the light
change in the area where music and light meet.
Truly, it's "art to feel with your body."

I was really touched by the sense of collaboration I got from this work,
compared to only being a "viewer."
Every single light felt like it was softly surrounding me, and for some reason, it helped me to relax.
I hope lots more people can be able to experience this "physical experience"
because it is hard to capture in a snapshot.
Easily accessible from the Risshisha Inn,
the Light Cycles event is located in the heart of Kyoto.
During the day, take in the iconic sights of Kyoto, like Arashiyama and Kiyomizu-dera Temple,
and at night, let yourself relax by the beautiful world of light.
It's a great place for calming down after a long day.

Though Kyoto is home to many historical sites like temples and shrines,
I believe that one of the city's new charms is its modern art experiences.
At Risshisha, we frequently post information regarding nearby activities and experiences that our employees have suggested.
Make sure to join Light Cycles and stay at our inn for an enjoyable stay if you are in Kyoto.
