Autumn colours in Todaiji

Hello this is Yamori
from Risshisha!

This time, we'll show some of Kyoto's popular places for fall colours.
We are excited to introduce Tofukuji Temple,
which is easily accessible near Kyoto Station on the JR Nara Line.

Among Kyoto's five temples, Tofukuji,
located in Higashiyama, is the fourth-ranked Zen temple.

Famous are the Tsutenkyo Bridge,
which crosses the river that flows through the grounds
and is hidden from view from the garden this time of year,
and the Hojo Garden, which features the Big Dipper and
a checkered pattern and is recognized as a national beauty place.
The view of Tsutenbashi Bridge and the fall trees is wonderful!

Since the early Taisho period, the Senyu-ji area surrounding Tofuku-ji Temple
has been the birthplace of Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki pottery,
and the area is full with potteries and galleries.
The "Kiln Momiji Festival" was going on at this time.
In along with seeing how the pottery is made,
you can buy and view many kinds of pottery here.

This is a highly recommended spot for anyone
seeking tourism in a traditional Kyoto area near Kyoto Station!

You won't have to worry for lunch
because there are great spots in the neighborhood
that offer hamburger and set meal restaurants
where you can have `{Yuba'' and ``Obanzai''.
So why not try the course which includes
exploring Tofukuji Temple in the morning and lunch?
