Hasegawa Sakae Tea House

This time,
I will introduce you to Hasegawa Sakae Tea House.

The sixth generation is Hasegawa Hiroaki.

The origin of Uji tea
a long-standing establishment in Uji, Kyoto,
which dates back to the 1830s.

We use traditional Uji cultivation techniques
in our own tea fields to produce tencha,
the base of matcha.
 

Hasegawa Sakae Tea House

From carefully produced tea leaves
to the manufacturing of tea,
we handle everything in-house.

Now, we are out between the select few teas
that thoroughly select every single leaf
and present it to customers as
"gifts from tea farmers."

Matcha is made from tea leaves called tencha.
You can enjoy the tea leaves' sweetness,
complexity, and aroma in this cup.

Their attention to care continues to extend to
the setting up of the soil for tea leaves to grow in,
as well as to the production of tea leaves that are
