Cherry blossom season is just around the corner.

Hi everyone!
I'm Matsuo from Risshisha.

The temperature is slowly rising, and spring begins to arrive.
Cherry blossoms are usually what we think of when we think of spring.

This time, I'd like to present a few locations where you can explore and take in the cherry blossom views.

This time, we'll introduce a walking course that follows along the Kamo River,
which passes right through the center of Kyoto.

The rute from Gion-Shijo Station to Demachiyanagi Station is the route we recommend.
At a slow pace, this route, which is roughly 3 km long, takes 40 to 50 minutes.

You can take an easy stroll along the beautifully maintained Kamo River
walk while taking in the view of the river.

One of Kyoto's best walking paths is the approximately 3 km stretch from Gion Shijo to Demachiyanagi,
which offers amazing views of the Kamo River and cherry blossom trees.

You are able to enjoy Kyoto's springtime beauty by strolling along the riverbank path.

This route is unique because of the way the landscape varies as you walk.

The Kamo River's landscape is defined by:

* Shijo to Sanjo:
A classic cherry blossom townscape in Kyoto
* Sanjo to Marutamachi:
Open landscapes and a broad river
* From Marutamachi to Demachiyanagi:
A calm area with lots of cherry blossoms

Enjoying a variety of environments while strolling is one of its joys,
as the view can vary greatly depending on where you walk along the same Kamo River.

Also,
in front of the Kyoto Cultural Association,
cherry blossoms had already begun to bloom.

It's a good way to start the day to see such lovely spring scenery, even in the city.

When you visit Kyoto, why not go for a walk and look for cherry blossoms?
There are still many locations where you can see them.
