We would like to introduce you to Suzumushi Temple (official name: Kegon Temple, Mt. Myotoku),
famous for the straw sandal-wearing Jizo statue that will grant you one wish.
You will arrive at the main gate after walking a long 80-step staircase.
The only Jizo statue in Japan wearing straw sandals is seen in front of the entrance.
If this is your first visit, go ahead, as you will be needed to make a wish before leaving.
Once you've gotten in and entered the reception area, you'll hear bell crickets chirping.
Tea and cookies will be served while a 30-minute message is given.
Even those who come to share appreciation can enjoy the message because its content varies depending on the priest.
