Walking Around Kyoto (Matsuo Taisha Shrine)

This is Maeda
Welcome back to Risshisha.

Matsuo Taisha Shrine is famous as God of 'sake'.
A wind chime prayer being performed
during the summer
so I went to look at the cool air.

In the center of Kyoto
Shijo-dori a long from east to west.

Beyond west Katsuragawa
Further west end
In the place that is close to Arashiyama
There is Matsuo Taisha Shrine

A beautiful stream
It is flowing smoothly.

A wish was written in a corner of the precincts、
Lots of prayer wind chimes.
It seems that you can pray for wind chimes for 500 yen.

Matsuo Taisha Shrine, The Shrine of sake.
Since old times, sake brewers
have been the water of Matsuo Taisha Shrine.
"Kamenoi no Mizu"
There is a custom to mix it with the prepared water.

Also used for tea ceremony and calligraphy,
It seems also effective for longevity.

I remembered being spoken.
That the Elderly who living near our company,
They fetch every day to Matsuo Taisha shrine,  and take The water of this Matsuo Taisha shrine.

I have also had tea brewed with Matsuo Taisha shrine's water.
Certainly, the taste of tea is mild
It was a bit different.
